UNIT 6 READING 3 "The Time Warp Trio: 2095"

 "The Time Warp Trio: 2095"

In this story, three boys with a time-travel book find themselves 100 years in the future. The story begins with Sam, Fred, and Joe trying to get away from a robot that is chasing them through a museum. They leave the museum and discover that New York has changed dramatically. It is busier and noisier than before and the buildings are much taller. Layer after layer of people and cars float by above them. Joe’s uncle and three girls—the boys’ great-granddaughters—appear and help them. Joe’s uncle and the girls discuss the rules of time travel and how nothing, including the time-travel book, can be in two places at once. The boys
are about to give up hope of returning to the past when Joe’s uncle shows them his time warp watch.
